The Hair Experts Launch Event at So Me Beauty

On Wednesday I traveled across the city to Clapham for a new beauty product launch - The Hair Experts Root Touch-Up

The event took place at So Me Beauty salon in Clapham Junction. After a very warm welcome I was treated to the best blow dry I've had in London so far, the girls at the salon know how to work their magic with hair even as difficult as mine! Someone please hire them to do my hair every day? ;)

We played with the new product - a magical little thing that makes your roots disappear in minutes. The Hair Experts Root Touch-Up has a consistency of an eyeshadow and there's a wide range of shades to choose from - naturally I tried their red shade, which was a bit light, but nevertheless it's a brilliant product.
My hair during the treatment:
And afterwards with mega cute curls...
The kit comes with a small dual brush to apply the product with, and a large mirror (perfect to use on the go). It literally takes a few minutes to cover roots (or grey hair).

The Hair Experts Root Touch-Up is now available exclusively in Boots (£9.99).

Turning 23

When I was 15, being 23 seemed so far away and I thought by then I would be a ''proper adult'' and would have my life sorted out. I thought I would have my career figured out (ha) and would be married (HA) at the grand age of 23.

The truth is, I don't even feel like an adult most of the time and sometimes I simply fail at this whole adulting thing. I am a baby adult more like, haha.

I am a very ambitious and competitive person and usually give myself a really hard time - I always think I could do better, achieve more, be a step further. But this year, frankly my dears, I kind of stopped giving a damn. I am 23 and have a good professional experience, I got into the university I wanted, I moved to London on my own and managed to make it here (even though it was not easy).

So, from now on it is time to start loving myself more, taking care of myself and all good things will come while I work for them. I decided to get rid of this ridiculous timeline in my head (ie: by this and that age I will have done this and that...) and cut myself some slack ;)

Here's to another great year!

London, Baby!

I'm in London! And this announcement is two months late haha. I moved to this gorgeous city and instantly fell in love.

These two months were crazy, my life has been a roller coaster lately! The new beginning here was very stressful and a bit lonely, but now I see moving to London has been one of my best decisions.

I spend my days admiring the beauty that is London, meeting awesome people, partying, trying new things and saying 'yes' more, and to things I thought I would have never done (me going to a hip hop gig? Nooo. London, what are you doing to me ;)

I really am happy and feel extremely lucky to be able to live here, and in one of the most beautiful areas of London.

The weather here is really lovely this week, so I called R and we went for a walk around Islington.

I’m still getting used to British summer – I’m freezing most of the time! ;)

I wore this beautiful maxi dress from Primark, Miss Selfridge leather jacket (go for petite section if a bit cropped fit is what you’re looking for!) and my new JORD watch.

This gorgeous piece is made from wood and was gifted to me by JORD team. I went for a Cherry & Mother Pearl one from JORD’s Sidney series. I absolutely love it and get so many compliments when I wear it!

We wandered around, sipped on iced lattes and enjoyed sunny afternoon in a nearby park. Here’s to my new, amazing adventures in London! ;)

Dairy Free, Low Carb & Gluten Free Pancakes (Yes, Really!)

My favourite breakfast food? Definitely pancakes. It's a rather guilty pleasure of mine as I *should* eat low carb, super healthy food as I am trying to lose weight.

It's also the best comfort food!

After few tests, I came up with a bit healthier recipe.

They are still delicious though, if you love all things coconutty (like I do), you should give them a go!

To feed 2-4 people you'll need:

1/4 cup coconut flour

3 tablespoons coconut oil

1/4 cup coconut flakes

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 pinch salt

1 tablespoon honey

3 large eggs (at room temperature)

1/2 cup almond milk

1. In a small bowl, mix together the coconut flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

2. In a medium bowl, cream together the coconut oil and honey until smooth. Whisk the eggs in, add the almond milk and coconut flakes.

3. Combine all ingredients and mix until smooth. Don't overwork it, or the pancakes won’t be as fluffy.

4. Heat about 1 tablespoon coconut oil in a pan over medium high heat.

5. Add batter  and cook for about 2-3 minutes on first side. Flip and cook for 1-2 minutes on the other side.

6. Serve with greek yoghurt and coconut flakes or smothered in syrup if you're feeling naughty. Tuck in!

Do let me know what you think, if you decide to try them!

5 Perfect Spring Dresses & A Giveaway!

One of my latest ambitions is to up my personal style game, refresh my wardrobe and buy some feminine dresses.

Now, if you know me, this may come as a surprise as I wear black 95% of the time and I'm guilty of wearing my basic uniform - I usually wear shirts, black jackets, black skinnies and black wedges / flats / sneakers.

I really admire fashion bloggers who can pull off new, amazing outfits everyday. No wonder fashionistas and trends are kinda intimidating for me.

I've had a good look around the web and picked 5 beautiful spring dresses from eShakti - you should definitely hear about this gem of a website.
1 // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5
